Look out Summer, here we come!

If you’ve been thinking about getting away this Summer, below are some of my
favorite, family friendly road trip destinations.

The market for seasonal rentals is very hot so it’s best to use a local realtor who can guide you through what to expect in different neighborhoods  As always, feel free to reach out and I will be happy to put you in touch with one of my contacts. Enjoy the summer!

SAG HARBOR

A day, weekend or week in Sag Harbor is just a short drive away. Trade Port’s bay for the ocean, breathe in the salt water air, and enjoy all that Sag Harbor has to offer.
Things to do: Explore the quaint village, learn about the area’s whaling history, catch a show at the Bay Street Theater, take the Ferry to Shelter Island for a fun day trip.

NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND

Known for its mansions, sailing, shopping & seaside, Newport offers something for everyone. Best, the city is highly walkable so you can get your steps in no matter where you go.

Things to do: Tour the mansions, go on a sailing excursion, explore the many shops, or enjoy a day or two at the beach.

CAPE COD, MASSACHUSETTS

The cape is the perfect combination of beaches, seafood shacks, whales and ice cream debates. Trade in your shoes for flip flops for casual fun.

Things to do: Go on whale watching tour, enjoy your pick of bay or ocean beaches, visit the Cape Cod potato chip factory, and young kids will love the Pirate Adventure!  Don’t forget to pick up a sweatshirt at Cuffy’s.

BURLINGTON, VERMONT

Enjoy the green outdoors, organic food, a welcoming vibe and waterfront in Vermont’s largest city. Home to passive parks and historical museums & sites, Burlington has something for everyone.
Things to do:
Bring your bike and travel between two villages on the Local Motion bike ferry, explore the Church Street Marketplace on foot and save an afternoon for a trip to the Ben & Jerry’s factory and Flavor Graveyard.

MAINE

A vast shoreline, national park, and magnificent wildlife beckon! Pack your tent and camp under the stars, or rent a cottage or cabin.
